How we work

We are engaged both with individuals and with very local issues. We fund world-class research into important global issues and simultaneously support the higher education sector. Partnership is at the heart of all we do through the Foundation.

We support organisations which we believe deliver impact, we often stay involved for many years, and we seek to provide our partner organisations with as much value as we can.

We want our engagement to make a difference and, if possible, be transformational. Scale is not an issue and we support organisations large and small, global and local. The Foundation has focused on supporting and engaging with organisations in areas that Rory and Elizabeth feel personally connected to and that resonate with their life experiences and views. Rory and Elizabeth have served as trustees, volunteers, and informal advisors to their partner organisations and they feel that the combination of time and treasure is how they can best be of service.
